There are objects born from an intuition. Others that come to life from a method. Trap\u00e8ze<\/em><\/strong> does not belong to the first category, nor to the second: it is born from an intuition captured thanks to a method layered over hours and hours spent in the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bag that is not the result of chance, but of intentionality. Of studied proportions, of mistakes turned into value, of precise choices.\n
A shape that seems simple \u2014 and that is not simple at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Trap\u00e8ze<\/a><\/em><\/strong> we wanted to create an object that spoke softly, but with decision. One that had a clear, recognizable identity, and at the same time, was not shouted. A bag that does not seek attention: it deserves it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The birth of a silhouette.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The trapezoidal shape<\/strong> was the starting point: a perfect balance between stability and verticality, between geometric rigor and softness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first sketch dates back to the '90s, the first idea locked in a drawer for many years. The designer's hand starts from the triangle, elongates it, cleans it, makes it breathe. He adds the handle, removes it, rethinks it.
\nThus a silhouette is born that tells a story of weights, solids and voids, of volumes that seek each other until they find their definitive position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trap\u00e8ze is a pencil stroke before even being a bag.
What guided the project was never decoration, but essentiality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea was to build a bag that would be recognized for its shape, not for excess. A balance<\/strong> between sharp lines and a fluid attitude, capable of moving naturally between different contexts.
The functional elements were designed \"by subtraction\":<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • the invisible magnetic closure;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • the essential interior, without superstructures;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • a volume that contains more than it appears.
    <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Everything is present, but nothing is the protagonist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    From paper to prototype: the workshop as the place of form.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The most delicate phase began when the design arrived in the workshop.
    The first trials were exercises in balance: how much should the shell be stiffened? How much should the leather yield? What thickness guarantees presence without weight?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Every choice passed through the hands of the designer and the artisans, in a continuous exchange between intuition and material. From this, long months of trials, prototyping, and new materials followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    It is the workshop that decides what works. And Trap\u00e8ze<\/em><\/strong> found its voice right there, amidst the smell of leather and glue, in the sound of the sewing machines, in the calm of hand-finishing. The rush to finish was set aside by the desire not to overlook any detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Materials that become character<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The choice of leather<\/strong> is a chapter of its own.\n
    For Trap\u00e8ze<\/em><\/strong>, we have selected a full-grain calfskin with a natural grain and a velvety touch. A leather that ages beautifully, softening without losing its shape and acquiring a subtle patina over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Material is not a technical detail: it is the aesthetic essence.
    It is what defines the bag\u2019s character.
    It is what makes it an object that accompanies, not follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Each panel is cut by selecting the finest sections, avoiding imperfections and aligning the grain. This ensures not only uniformity but also lasting stability over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Every detail of the bag responds to a clear question: how long will this gesture endure through time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • The edging<\/strong> is hand-finished multiple times until it becomes a continuous line.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The stitching<\/strong> is calibrated to be visible just enough, without being intrusive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The weight<\/strong> has been carefully optimized to ensure everyday wearability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The result is a rigorous yet not rigid object, elegant without seeking attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Discreet functionality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Beauty alone is not enough. Trap\u00e8ze<\/em><\/strong> was designed to be worn, not just contemplated.\n
      The internal magnetic closure guides the hand while remaining out of sight. Access to the contents is facilitated by a shape that opens naturally, without awkward folds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The shoulder strap is adjustable and removable, designed to transition from urban to evening use without changing its language.
      \nIt is a bag that lives with its wearer: it adapts, it moves, it folds slightly, it breathes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Trap\u00e8ze<\/em><\/strong> is born from craftsmanship, but looks toward industrial design.
      It is a bag that aspires to formal purity, to a calm and decisive aesthetic, to quiet luxury in its most authentic expression: one in which only those who speak the language of the essential recognize themselves.
      It has no urgency to be seen.
